Sizing
Understanding Snickers Trouser Sizing
Snickers trouser sizing can be confusing because the brand has changed how its garments are cut over the years. The size printed on the internal label does not always match the best size the garment is designed to fit.
3 Series vs 6 Series Trousers
- For over 20 years, Snickers produced the 3 Series trousers, which were loose, baggy and often larger than the stated size.
- This extra room allowed for shrinkage and better movement when kneeling.
Snickers later introduced the 6 Series, available in three cuts:
- Loose
- Regular/Standard
- Slim
However, they continued using the same internal label codes as the old 3 Series. This means customers who ordered the same code as their old 3 Series trousers often found the new 6 Series too tight.
Important: The Size on Our Dropdown
The size shown on our website dropdown is the size the garment will fit, not the size printed on the internal Snickers label.
Please do not assume you’ve been sent the wrong size if the internal label differs — this is normal and expected.
Moving from 3 Series to 6 Series
As a general rule:
- Customers coming from the old 3 Series usually need to go up one size code in the waist.
- Example: If you wore 048 in the 3 Series, you would typically choose 050 in the 6 Series. With regards to the leg length, even though this is slightly shorter, as the garment is more tapered, we find that there is no difference when purchasing short, regular, long etc. So therefore do not go up to a longer length.
- In Slim Fit trousers, some customers choose to go up more than one size due to the reduced thigh and calf width.
Already Wearing 6 Series?
If you already wear a 6 Series trouser:
- The waist and inside leg are consistent across all 6 Series models.
- For repeat orders, use the code/tag on the outside seam of the right leg.
- Fit may still vary slightly if switching between Regular/Standard and Slim cuts.
Summary
Internal labels may not match the size shown on our website — this is correct.
- The size on our dropdown is the true fit size.
- Moving from 3 Series → 6 Series usually requires sizing up.
- Slim fits may require additional sizing up.
