Weeks after Brexit. Why are deliveries still taking longer? Click Here
LATEST – Snickers warehouse move is now complete and orders placed from Wednesday 17th onwards are now being processed oldest first. Deliveries are still taking up to 8 working days but they are doing there best to reduce this if possible. The ongoing customs delays are still making things slower than they should be, but Covid shutdowns and loss of stitching times are now taking there toll on stocks. We are adding notes to products as and when we hear of issues with one of the biggest being Knee Pads. 9118 out till April and 9191 very close to being the same. Again we will keep you updated as best we can through our site
REMINDER – FREE UK MAINLAND DELIVERY Snickers Distribution Centre is moving to a new purpose built central warehouse. The move will start Thursday 18th February. Despatches will stop from Wednesday 17th and re start Tuesday 22nd. This will cause some further short term delivery delays with stock coming to us and deliveries direct to our customers. Snickers have assured us that they will do there utmost to clear any back log caused by this as quickly as possible. Again, we at SnickersUK want to be upfront with our customers about this in advance. To help we will remove all carriage charges for UK mainland deliveries until Tuesday 22nd Feb
LATEST – 99.9% of orders are being delivered within 2/8 working days (still to slow but improving) however odd ones can still be held up by customs checks that we have no control over. We are making you aware of this now as once the order is in the system we will be unable to stop it. Northern Ireland and ROI is a lot better now and taking a day or so longer than UK mainland deliveries. The bottom of your receipt will show CW7/8 (allow up to 8 days) or UN (around 2 days). Please remember these delays are not just our issue. Unfortunately customs and port delays are not getting the press coverage due to the much greater problem we are living with at the moment. The other issue we have been having is the snow but fingers crossed that’s gone for a while DPD Texts are a little out of sync still as they are sending when goods are scanned not when out for delivery. The correct delivery text will always have a one hour delivery time slot with it. Tracking numbers are still an issue as many of the parcels sent from Central Warehouse are dual labelled so often the correct number is not available. There are people working at DPD to resolve this but there’s no quick fix sadly
7/1/21 – The latest information from Snickers Head Office:
Parcels being shipped from Snickers Central Warehouse are facing delays due to unforeseen custom issues.
We, and Snickers, appreciate that this will cause some distress, but we do ask for some consideration to be made for having to deal with an issue like Brexit that has never occurred before. A deal was struck at the 12th hour but the requirements to implement the new stricter rules, that were unclear are taking longer than anyone could prepare for. Add to this the recent national Covid lockdown and this is made even more difficult to implement
Please stay safe and we will update here with any new information
